Coming back to a game like Final Fantasy XIV just makes sense, especially because I would classify it as one of the best MMOs I have ever played with one of the best track records I have experienced given updates and fun content to complete. It’s honestly shocking to me how long FFXIV has been around, being that so many games I’ve played have had much shorter lifespans due to a lack of updates or have simply ignored their player bases’ requests, leading many players to boycott and essentially leave the worlds empty or make it more difficult to actually get things done.Īs many of my regular readers and viewers know, MMOs are my favourite type of game, and I often ending up playing games like Trove, Maplestory, Elderscrolls Online and Guild Wars II.

You do not have to be a member of the guild, you do not have to be a poster on, but you will have to make an alliance toon on Cenarion Circle for the sake of convenince.įor season one we’re going to keep it a simple as possible.Recently I’ve been itching to start playing FFXIV again, especially while I take breaks from streaming and playing Genshin Impact.Īs an individual, I like having multiple games on the go, especially because so many of the games I play have downtime for server updates or have vast lapses in content updates that make the gaming experience less than ideal and end up leaving me running aimlessly around the world until I can find something to do.įinal Fantasy XIV has been a huge love of mine for years, and while admittedly I took a large break shortly after I completed the initial content in “Shadowbringers” with the upcoming update of “Endwalker” that comes out on November 23, 2021, I thought it was about time that I renew my subscription and get to grinding some high level gear so I can play with my friends again. Who is eligible to join this league? Anyone who loves PvP pet battling and enjoys some friendly competition.

It’s finally here, our first pet battle league, brought to you by the “of the Pet Battle Forum” guild on Cenarion Circle-US and.

Great pet, but it doesn’t really belong at the top of the list in my opinion. Still it’s impressive that it made it that high on the list.ĭ) the Nightshade Sproutling was almost always paired with a Bone Serpent. go away.Ĭ) the Vengeful Porcupette gave me loads of trouble, however it was often used with a tier 1 pet (mostly Bone Serpents and Wicked Souls). (edited)ī) valks are the most common pet again. On the “family data bottom” tab I used for family info I realized that something was wrong so I fixed them (hopefully all of them).Īs far as analysis goes here are a few things that jumped out at me:Ī) the drop in undead wins, but that makes sense due to the nerf. Sheet 1 is where I kept the data, please note that some of the magic pets are listed as mechanicals (they both start with “m”, oops). Here is the link to the actual spreadsheet: Lifelike Mechanical BoarēęĐĒ5.0%Đ.94įamily – %encountered – frequency (out of 1500) Here are the pets that appeared at least 10 times listed in order of their win percentages: Doesn’t sound too great, but when you compare that to the 26.6 overall win percentage with a ratio you can see that the Vengeful Porcupette is really good: 56.3/26.6=2.12, so the Vengeful Porcupette was more than twice as likely to beat me as a random pet encountered in the queue. For example, the Vengeful Porcupette had a 56.3 win percentage. This gives a better indicator of how well a pet does. I called it the relative ratio for lack of a better name. It was Poofah’s idea to include the ratio of each pet’s win percentage to the overall win percentage of my opponents. This means that my opponents beat me 26.6% of the time. Next are the pets that did the best against me.

I did this manually over 500 battles, so there may be a few mistakes here and there, but to the best of my knowledge the data is accurate. Once again, I used a spreadsheet to keep track of the pets that I face in the PvP pet battle queue.
